Philosophy and Practice

​

I am an interdisciplinary architect with a circular and ecophilosophical approach to design. I work with circular materials, relational architecture, and ecology. Local, raw materials like wood, stone, earth, and clay shape my work. I explores the relationship between materials, landscape and society, with an interest in reuse, resource management and the role of architecture in larger ecological cycles. My curiosity is to how design can act as a regenerative tool where material comes before form. My practice also spans multiple media.​

Matter Forms – Oslo Architecture Triennale (2026)

Reclaimed granite forms four outdoor benches. The bench as an invitation to architectural philosophize:

"What If Nature Comes First?"​

Magma – Public Art Commission, Fredrikstad Municipality (2026)

A permanent sculptural installation at Lunde School, now part of Fredrikstad Municipality’s art collection. The project is grounded in the geological formation of granite and the relationship between minerals and the human body, connecting local stone production to cosmos and our belonging to nature. A monumental sun form rises from the ground, accompanied by nine raw stone planets placed throughout the schoolyard to invite spatial reflection.

Borrowed Land – Færderbiennalen (2024)

In collaboration with the architectural collectives ACT!, Studio Winther, and CLAYA, we erected monumental rammed earth columns for the Færderbiennalen at Tjøme to explore regenerative materials and circular construction methods.​

 

Multispecies Neighbourhoods – Oslo Architecture Triennale (2022)

In collaboration with Atelier Dalziel, an artistic architectural food forest structure constructed from hemp, and local straw and clay.

Urdarbrønnen / Ragnarók : Hear me in Silence – The National Museum (2022)

Served as an assistant and artistic partner to artist Vilde von Krogh during the creation of her monumental installation for the grand opening of The National Museum. The piece has since been acquired for the museum's permanent collection.
